HONEY POT
Introducing the 13th hardest trophy to win in amateur sports.
Ask any (well most) KILLER B athlete and they will tell you that a KILLER B weekend is not about winning. It never was. But there is indeed something special about enduring the grueling conditions of a KILLER B tournament and coming out victorious allowing
you the privilege of hoisting the HONEY POT!
In it's second iteration, the KILLER B's HONEY POT is the13th hardest trophy to win in
amateur sports and to have your name engraved in history is an absolute honour.

KILLER B CHAMPIONSHIPS initially were an annual event, up until Killer B 14.
Post Covid, we are promising a Killer B Word Championships every 2 years with the potential for back to back years as needed. There will always be an epic qualifier that you
can attend on an annual basis.

In addition to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY, the HONEY POT, there are additional trophies available to win in the KILLER B cannon including THE HONEY STIX (Beijing Killer B Qualifiers), THE LING CUP (Thailand's Killer B Qualifiers, THE BUD CUP (Camp D'Homme's coveted Killer B trophy) and
THE WOK (Hong Kong's Killer B Qualifiers). All prestigious in their own right.

Oh, and we have Rings because we're ridiculous.

WORLD KILLER B CHAMPIONS
2006 KUTA BEACH, BALI

Following the wedding of Luke and Dalia Turner in May, 2005. The boys of Killer B decided to revisit the idea of heading to Bali on the anniversary of both Luke and Dalia AND the year since Killer B was reintroduced to the world. This time, we celebrated the upcoming nuptuals of Shawn Tripp to Nicole as we played what is considered, but not fully recognized, the FIRST KILLER B WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.
2007 KUTA BEACH, BALI

In 2007, we made it sort of official. Well, official in the sense that we created a banner, made teams, played a full tournament and crowned actual winners. At this point, we had no idea we would keep doing this for 20 more years all over the word. This was also the first custom swag bag with actual jerseys. Ridiculous.

2008 KUTA BEACH, BALI

If we're going to keep doing this, we're going to do it right and we introduced the first iteration of THE HONEY POT. It was D.I.Y in every sense of the word and absolutely glorious. The swag got better and for some reason we have medals.

2010 KUTA BEACH, BALI

In 2010, the wheels started to fall off at a rapid rate. Creative facial hair was being encouraged, it was the first appearance and then disappearance of Tom. We forgot to get team and group photos which is a shame because these jerseys were sick! As I said, the wheels fell off and I am not sure they've been put back on.

2011 KUTA BEACH, BALI

In 2011, we tried to incpirate additional events to the Killer B weekend. This year, we tried to engage in paintball. This was the last year we included additional events that didn't mainly focus on sitting, eatting, drinking and laughing. 4 days and not one proper photo of this event. We smartened up in 2012. I think. We also learned that the Norwegian National Holiday was the first weekend in May.

AHHHH! KILLER B 8, THE OUCHO and the introduction of the NEW HONEY POT! At this point, we needed to communicate to the boys on the beach in advance we were coming because for the 2nd straight year, Kuta ran out of beer on the beach. Shawn and Steve still have not won at this point.

2020 CAMP D'HOMME, VICTORIA, BC, CANADA
KILLER B TIMELINE note: In February 2020, the global pandemic known as COVID threatened to destroy our streak of Killer B World Championships. Athletes were stranded all over the world and we could not meet for the first time in 15 years. However, men were encouraged to meet where they could on the globe with as many mini tournaments as possible thus creating the first triple 'World Championships" in Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand.
These tournaments were smaller than what we were used to, but in honour of the integrity of the game,
these tournaments were awarded official Championship status.

Someone may or may not have jumped out of a plane for this tournament. Because this was projected to be the first Championships without a body of water in close proximity, it is rumored that Tripper created a makeshift palette pool in a field. It is safe to say that his rule of no peeing in the pool was not strictly followed.

The Thailand border was locked tight and in its grasp were 20 of the greatest, many first time Killer B attendees, to play the game. Hua Hin lent itself to be a perfect playground for the World's Greatest Spectator Sport and potential future home of one of many permanent Killer B Headquarters.

KILLER B TIMELINE note: With Covid continuing to wreak havoc on the planet, global commissioners Northcott and Tripper postponed the annual WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS until a time when we could all meet safely in a common space. In 2021 and 2022, Killer B continued to see qualifying tournaments in Canada, Thailand, Hong Kong, USA and Brazil.
It wasn't until 2023 when we were allowed to all meet again to continue the quest for the Honey Pot and celebrate the neotenous spirit of Killer B. After 2023, Killer B Invitational World Championships will happen every other
year at minimum. However, annual qualifying tournaments will continue to happen in
Hong Kong, Thailand, Canada and other locations around the world.
2023 LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, USA

After Covid, it was very important to the KILLER B community to get together and have an epic event. Tripper and Northcott wasted no time in bringing KILLER B back to Vegas. During the pandemic, new athletes were introduced to the CHAMPIONSHIPS and wasted no time getting their names on the HONEY POT.

There are certain privileges that come with the World Championship KILLER B Tournament

-
It is INVITATION only. Attend a qualifier first
-
You must attend a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in order to be eligible for the HIVE or to be inducted in to the HIVE
-
You can only get your name on the HONEY POT by winning the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. There are other trophies at KILLER B, but none as historic and glorious as the 13th hardest trophy to win in amateur sports.

It's a 4 DAY explosion of neoteny that is challenging to duplicate.
